Anyone who, like the biathlon pros from France and Norway, relies on the best material on the track should trust in the Sol cross-country skiing glove model from KinetiXx. The materials, the cut and the design were developed in collaboration with the top biathletes and constantly refined. The Sol model is a very light glove made of thin material, for particularly strenuous sessions on the track or in warmer conditions. This is particularly important if the hands are to be kept warm on the one hand, but on the other hand have to remain highly tactile, for example while shooting. The cross-country skiing glove Sol combines these characteristics perfectly and makes it the favorite model of many professional biathletes. The backhand material consists of a thin but wind proof and water-repellent material, without an additional fleece layer. The soft material lies comfortably on the skin and is impressive with its quick drying properties and high breathability, so that liquids such as perspiration are transported to the outside very quickly and the hand remains pleasantly dry. The palm is made of a very soft, elastic Micro Suede, which is coated with a special silicone grip. This makes the palm very flexible and gives the hands high tactility. At the thumb, a fleece including membrane was inserted, which can also absorb liquids. The glove closes the wrist with a comfortable, tight-fitting cuff and a pull-on aid. The glove also has a very sporty cut, fits like a second skin and thus supports all athletes in their training in the best possible way. The Sol cross-country skiing glove is a must-have for all cross-country skiers and those who want to become the best.

Determine Your glove size.

Measure across the hand

Open your hand and place a tape measure around your base knuckles (do not include the thumb). You should use your dominant hand, the right if you are right-handed, and the left if you are left-handed. Now make a loose fist and measure circumference.

If you do not have a tape measure at your disposal you can use a thread to take the measurement and them determine the length of the thread using a ruler.

The europen glove sizes for adults are measured in old inch (French: Pouce). One pouce is approx. 2.7 cm. Size 8 therefore 8 pouce = 21.6 cm.

The given sizes are just a guideline. Gloves are designed differently according to their functions:

  • Biking gloves are generally made from elastic materials with a comparatively tight fit in order to have the full transfer of power from hands to a handle bar
  • Ski gloves must protect against coldness. Therefore they are from materials which enclose isolating air and their cut is wider
  • Horse riding gloves must fit like a second skin because holding the reins requires high tactile sensitivity
