NORDIC SKIING WITHOUT SNOW ... NORDIXC is a revolutionary concept for achieving the cardiovascular benefits of X-C skiing without snow. Nordic skiing is a low impact sport that uses all major muscle groups. In addition to making you more fit, the Nordixc will also help you develop balance, rhythm and general athletic skills.
BUILT ON THE 125RC CHASSIS... The Nordixc are now built on the more advanced Retro Classic chassis and have an improved foot platform. The Nordixc 125RCX can be used for both paved and non paved surfaces.
VERY STABLE ... Both young and old can learn learn to ski on the Nordixc. The Nordixc has two side by side wheels in the rear which makes for a very stable platform.
NO SKI BOOTS OR BINDINGS REQUIRED ... With the Nordixc you don’t need ski boots or ski bindings. You can use your favorite walking, running, tennis or cross training shoes. A patented foot support and a flexible platform replaces the ski boots and ski bindings. The Nordixc is identical to the V2 Retro Classic, except it uses the foot support instead of a binding and on the Nordixc the Speed Reducers and brake are standard.
ONE SIZE FITS ALL ... The shoe support system is adjustable in both length and width and fits shoe sizes from U.S. 6 to 13 so virtually anyone in the family can use the Nordixc.
NORDIXC DO NOT ROLL BACKWARD ... The silent one way clutch system in the front wheel means the Nordixc can only roll forward.
ADJUSTABLE ROLLING RESISTANCE ... The patented ATR provides adjustable training resistance and speed control on down hills. In the off position the skis roll easily. When the ATR is engaged you can simulate the effort of skiing up hills on flat terrain while moving at a slow safe pace. As you get more experienced you can reduce the rolling resistance and increase the speed, this will give you the same cardiovascular benefit as skiing at a slower speed with greater resistance.
BRAKES ... Nordixc has a cuff actuated brake. The brake is designed so that you naturally assume a very stable body position when braking.
